Engineering
This is, of course, the most preferred professional course option among future Indian citizens. To get engineering admission, they should have taken science group with physics, chemistry and mathematics at their higher secondary level.

Law
Many students feel that they can get admission to Bachelor of Law or LLB course only after completing their degree course.
But, the fact is that integrated courses are offered by law colleges in India. Students can take either Bachelor of Arts with law, science with law, business administration with law, commerce with law.
This integrated course will be of 5 years duration and the popular institution for the professional law course in India is the National Law University that admits students through CLAT Examination, which is expanded as Common Law Admission Test.

Chartered Accountancy
Any student, who has completed the 10+2 examination conducted by the examining board in India or any other examination recognized by the Central Government as equivalent thereto are eligible to apply for the foundation course conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
The CA course has foundation, intermediate and final levels. Candidates can join foundation course after their higher secondary and they should also clear the Common Proficiency Test conducted by the institute for admission to the foundation course.

Cost Accountancy
Like Chartered Accountants, cost accountants are also professionals and this course is conducted by the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India (ICWAI).
Candidates can join the foundation course conducted by this institution after their higher secondary and unlike chartered accountancy course there is no entrance examination for CWA.
Candidates can join only if they have completed 17 years of age.
Certificate in Accounting Technician
Nowadays, accounting technicians are in great demand and to get this certification offered by ICAI – Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, students should enroll for Common Proficiency Test (CPT) examination after completing their 10.
But, they can appear for the CPT examination only after completing their 10+2. Both CPT and 10+2 should be completed before registering for the Accounting Technician course.
Here, they will have to complete different levels and should work under a chartered accountant practicing in India for one year before they get the certification.

Architecture
Nowadays, professionals with a Bachelor of Architecture are in great demand. In the current booming real estate markets architects are in great demand and for taking the B. Arch course after 12th, candidates will have to take the NATA examination and only science students can apply for this course.
Students must have secured minimum 50% marks in their higher secondary level. Top engineering colleges in India like IITs and some NITs offer B. Arch course.

Fashion Designing
This is another profession that is gaining importance and in India institutes like National Institute of Fashion Technology and National Institute of Design offers fashion designing courses.
Courses like Graduate Diploma and Post Graduate Diploma in Design are offered by these institutions for creating professional designers, who can flourish in the garment industry.

Journalism
Journalism is also the best professional course after 12th. It’s a hot career available for candidates these days and students interested in this profession can take up Journalism and Mass communication courses after their higher secondary education.
Indian Institute For Journalism and New Media is the best institution for journalism courses and candidates will have to take up an online aptitude test for admission.

Nursing Courses
Those interested in helping others, but could not get medical admissions can opt for nursing courses after their higher secondary. Bachelor of Science in Nursing courses is offered by many top institutions in India and entrance examination is conducted for admission.
So, it is not that only science students can take up professional course after 12th, even arts and commerce students can also take up professional courses after completing their higher secondary and can enjoy a bright future.
